More information about the 2013 Kia Rio:

Good fuel economy and decent power are probably two of the central points that will ring relevant to those cross-shopping the Rio against any of the competition. In addition to being one of the lowest-priced cars in the U.S. market, the 2013 Rio is the first vehicle that's not either a hybrid or luxury model to feature fuel-saving engine start/stop technology, which momentarily shuts the engine off at stoplights. Kia notes that 85 percent of the Rio's materials are recyclable at the end of the vehicle's lifespan and that seat foams are 100-percent biodegradable. The Rio's great design, inside and out, its strong body structure and enhanced safety, and its smooth direct-injection engine and 6-speed transmissions are all other very good reasons to consider the Rio in a crowded class that includes the Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Sonic, Mazda2, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris among others.

Strengths of this model include comfortable interior, Excellent gas mileage, smooth, refined engines and transmissions, improved safety, innovative Idle Stop and Go, maneuverability, and value for the money

I have owned this vehicle since 2012, It is the Rio5 hatchback, SX with sunroof, keyless entry, Nav. I am very happy with this vehicle, I would have rated the comfort lower since this was fitting with standard 17 alloys with 40 series tire, But since you lumped comfort along with convenience, this bumps the rating up to 8. The vehicle has been 100% reliable mechanically, nimble enough to dodge the pothole, Has decent power, It comes with heated seats & apart from some rattles over these bad NY roads, relatively quiet. Great value, a lot for a little, Looks great & drives well,
  • Good working horse

I use this car for Uber, commute and pleasure. Super cheap in fuel economy and maintenace. Easy to clean and do the maintenance. I got the sendan and have a big trunk, so I can put two large luggage and also add another two travel size on it without hazle. A car with the basics features necesary to survive the daily driving like than old days. At higways speeds it's very agile and when you push the pedal the 1.6lt engine and transmission respond like a bigger car do, even with 5 occupants and luggage in the trunk. At the city it can do a 360 and park on small spaces without problem, it can easily squezze away of traffic jams and also had a good launch at the green light. Not a sport car but it's a good working horse and do his job very well.
  • I love the GDI - and the STEREO!

The use of eco mode in stop and go, and yet off the line at the tolls, and when I need that GDI - its there! I think the eco mode, and manual shifting - GDI - throws off those that cant read a owners manual. And people dont use this car and respect its gas-sipping ways. It is roomy too! I feel its a party in RIO, fun to drive too - McP struts! GREAT STEREO - with all the plugins too. I like the driver seat option too! And the peri-steering wheel - it accommodates my ever enlarging love of food! A++++
